Custom SaaS platforms

Custom SaaS development. From idea to useful product.

Move from a product concept to a clearly scoped first release. We help define the customer experience, core workflows and operating controls behind a subscription software business.

Custom work is separately scoped and quoted. No platform subscription required to inquire.

A SCOPE THAT FITS

Start with what your users need.

For founders and businesses creating software for multiple customers or companies, with a plan for subscriptions and ongoing operation.

01

A focused first release

Identify the users, the problem and the smallest useful product. Prioritize a buildable roadmap instead of trying to ship every idea at once.

02

Customer and company workspaces

Plan onboarding, tenant boundaries, user roles and account administration around how your product serves its customers.

03

Subscription and owner operations

Scope plans, seats, billing-provider integration, support tools and owner controls. Billing rules and provider requirements are reviewed before implementation.

04

A plan beyond launch

Define monitoring, backups, data portability, hosting, maintenance and future development. Capacity and service commitments belong in the written scope.

What we can help with

  • Subscription business software
  • Industry-specific SaaS products
  • Multi-company customer portals
  • MVPs with an expansion roadmap

Examples to discuss, not a fixed package. Features depend on the agreed scope.

WE ALSO OPERATE OUR OWN SOFTWARE

Not just a concept.
Peldraven, ready to explore.

Barton Digital also builds and supports Peldraven, our business platform for project teams, home dealers and snow-service companies. Explore its public workflows and a live home showroom to see our approach to real business software.

Public product examples, not a claim that custom features are already included or that every project uses the same platform.

FROM IDEA TO RELEASE

A clear process, without the guesswork.

01

Understand the work

Talk through your customers, current process, goals, constraints and existing tools.

02

Define the build

Agree on scope, design direction, milestones, responsibilities and a written quote.

03

Build and review

Review the experience as it takes shape, with testing matched to the agreed requirements.

04

Launch with a plan

Coordinate the release, handoff, training and any separately agreed hosting or support.

BEFORE WE BUILD

A few things worth knowing.

Can we start with an MVP and add features later?

Yes. Discovery can separate the essential first release from later phases, with each phase scoped and priced. Future features and capacity are planned rather than assumed to be included.

Is a custom SaaS build included in a Barton subscription?

No. Custom development is a separately quoted engagement. Existing Barton platform subscriptions cover their listed product features, not a new custom platform or unlimited development.

How much does a custom build cost?

Custom projects are quoted after discussing requirements. The proposal separates the build from hosting, domain names, third-party services, maintenance and future changes where applicable. Existing software-plan prices do not cover custom development.

Who owns the finished work and the accounts?

Source-code ownership, licensing, domain and hosting accounts, access, data export and handoff responsibilities are agreed in the written contract before work begins. Existing Peldraven software and third-party components may have separate licenses.

Can you work with our existing designer or IT provider?

Yes. We can discuss a coordinated handoff or a focused development scope. Responsibilities, access requirements, hosting changes and testing are agreed with the people involved before launch.

A CLEARER SCOPE. A BETTER START.

Know what shapes the project.

Custom work is quoted around the agreed scope. These are the details that help us have a useful first conversation, before you commit to a build.

What affects the cost

  • The first customer segment and the smallest useful paid offering
  • Company isolation, permissions, billing and onboarding complexity
  • Support, hosting, monitoring and third-party usage after launch

What to bring to the conversation

  • Who will pay, what problem they have and how they solve it now
  • The features needed for the first release versus later phases
  • Your proposed pricing, support model and data responsibilities

Think beyond launch day

Plan for operation as well as launch: account recovery, billing changes, backups, export and support. Development scope and recurring provider costs should be identified separately.
